My 1 1/2 year old sister Colby is going for an EEG this Sunday to test to see if she has been having seizures or not. Our pediatrician and family doctor both think she's been having them for a while and they both seem concerned about her. Colby will sometimes just stand and stare for 10 to 30 seconds without responding when her name is called. I don't mean to scare anyone by posting this but I'm just really concerned for her health and this definitely isn't normal for anyone at any age. Prayers would be very much appreciated for her and for my family. I'll keep you updated. Thank you.

Sunday Riddle Answer and a New Riddle!

Helloooo! So, I was at Chelsea's house all day yesterday! We had a pretty freaking awesome sleepover!!! It was so awesome I almost died! (inside joke :P) Anyways, since I was there all day, I didn't have to time to do a blog post and give the answer to the riddle, so I'ma do it now!

The answer is.....: 'a coffin'.

Nobody got the answer right, but it was a pretty tricky riddle!

Here is this week's riddle:

What has roots that nobody sees,
Is taller than trees,
Up, up it goes,
Yet it never grows?

Some of you Tolkien lovers out there might know this one ;)

Good luck everyone!

Pray For This World!

This is what I saw on Instagram when I woke up this morning. People all over the USA are terrified that it's the end of the world. People everywhere are scared to leave their houses. I'm scared to death and I live in Canada. What is happening to this world? Why are some people just so evil? I know the Texas blast was a complete accident, but bombing Boston? Poisoning the president and a senator? Killing a homeless man? Seriously? Where are these peoples' common sense? Why did this have to happen? Why?

I can't even think straight today knowing about all of this! But I think the best thing to do in a time like this is to pray.

Pray for the injured, the souls of the dead, the families affected by these tragedies, the sick of mind, the conversions of the evil people in the world, an end to wars and bombings, and for world peace.

Please pray, it only takes 5 minutes.

Websites for Modest Swimwear... And My Rant About Bikinis

Okay. So here's the deal. I hate bikinis... with a passion. On me or on anyone else. Whether they be string bikinis, triangle bikinis, athletic bikinis, vintage style bikinis... I hate them. I'm sorry if I'm sounding rather grumpy/angry/annoyed, but I'm tired of walking into a store, seeing dozens of different skimpy little bikinis, and not one modest swimsuit in sight. It makes me sick. The only place you can find a one piece or even a tankini these days is in the baby clothes department. And I think I'm a little too big to fit into one of those :P

There. I'm done ranting now I promise! Haha! With all that being said though, I found a couple of online swimwear stores where you can buy modest tankini and one piece bathing suits, no, not for babies, but for juniors/women!! Here's the link to the first one I found: http://www.limericki.com/WOMEN

Here's a few of the bathing selections they have!

This one is my favorite from this website!

Another website I found that has some cute selections: http://downeastbasics.com/swim.aspx Some of them are a little too low cut for me personally, but they do have some good selections! Here are a few of the ones I like: (These are just the tops, but they all come with bottoms, of course!)

This one is my favorite from this website!

I also found this one on pinterest:
This would be my perfect bathing suit. It's cobalt blue (my favorite color!), it's a one piece, it's modest, and it has a big bow!! Does anyone know where I can buy this? I'm in need of a new bathing suit and this one is perf!!

And that concludes my little talk on swimwear! Hope you guys enjoyed! Au revoir mes amis! (Goodbye my friends)

Ombre Hair - Should I Try It?

I've been obsessed with the ombre hair trend for a long time now, and I'm thinking of doing it on myself for the spring and summer. L'Oreal has an ombre hair kit you can buy at pretty much any drugstore which is great! (I'm not paying 100$ at a salon... lol) I know for a fact that a head full of blonde hair would never look good on me, it just wouldn't! But I was thinking it would look nice in ombre form. I'm not planning on going too light blonde though. Here are some pictures I found on pinterest that I like. Which one do you think would suit me best? (If you need a picture of me for reference, you can go to my post called 'haircut'.)

Option 1: Very subtle, and she has bangs like me! Looks great!
Option 2: A little lighter than the first one.
Option 3: Even lighter still.
Option 4: This is the lightest I would go, haha!

Option 5: Red ombre! Really pretty!

So what do you guys think? Yeah or Nehh? I'd love to know your opinion!
Thanks!

Sunday Riddle!

Hey guys! I thought of a fun little idea! Every Sunday, I'm going to put up a riddle, and you guys can try to guess the answer and leave it in the comments. The following Sunday, I'll put up the answer to the previous riddle, put the names of everyone who gets it right, and put up a new riddle! What do ya think??

Here's this week's riddle:

The maker doesn't want it,
The buyer doesn't use it,
And the user doesn't see it.
What is it?

Take a guess!!

Happy Sunday :)

April 12, 2013... was a good day!

Hello everyone! :)

So, my family and I went on a little adventure today... and by adventure I mean a trip to Wal-Mart! (who doesn't love Wal-Mart??)

My two youngest siblings had gotten some money from Nanny for Easter, so we decided that we'd get them some new spring/summer toys! Wal-Mart had a wall full of summer toys for 1, 2, and 3 dollars, which was perfect!!!

So, picture a couple of toddlers going up and down the toy isle, perfectly content with what they were seeing, knowing that they were getting a few of those toys.

Okay, now picture a 15 year old girl (me) jumping up and down, making a fool out of myself, at the sight of bubbles, bubbles, and more bubbles... I was more excited that my 1 and 3 year old siblings!!! Soo... as you may have guessed, we ended up buying some bubble wands and bubble solution. But the best part is, I didn't have to wait for the summer to play with them!!! My mom allowed us to play with them in the living room with a blanket on the floor. It was a dream come true. Ohh and I got some chocolate and Arizona green tea (two of my favorite things in the world, besides bubbles of course...)! Hahahaha... true story.

Here are a few (okay... a few more that a few) pictures of the day! ;)

Selfie in the car!
At the grocery store.

Random people, haha I'm such a creeper :P

Happy Day - Summer Bucket List

Hey!!!

First off, I just want to say I'm feeling so much better today! I think my sickness has finally left me!  I also figured out that dark chocolate is amazing for sore throats :)(It worked for me anyway!)

Anywayzzz... now onto what this post is really about!

I've been thinking a lot about summer lately, (actually, I've been thinking about summer since the first snow fall, I'm not a fan on the winter...) and I've come up with a bucket list of things I want to do. So, here it is!

  1. Get a part time job.
  2. Go to the Steubenville Atlantic Catholic Youth Retreat
  3. Play messy twister!!
  4. Dance in the rain with friends.
  5. Go for a bath with glow sticks in the water and the lights out!
  6. Start a diary just for the summer.
  7. Have a free-for-all fight with paint filled water balloons.
  8. Buy a Canon EOS Rebel T3i camera.
  9. Get a tan tattoo. (with sunscreen or silly bands)
  10. Have a movie night with friends I haven't seen in a long time.
  11. Go to a drive-in movie.
  12. Go on a no-budget thrift shopping spree.
  13. Go around town leaving little happy notes on car windows.
  14. Play laser tag.
  15. Write a song.
  16. Light a dandelion on fire.
  17. Go rollerblading!
  18. Pull an all nighter.
  19. Go to the beach as much as possible.
  20. Ombre my hair.

That's my summer bucket list! What's something you really want to do this summer? Let me know in the comments!!

Sickness...

Ugh... sick again! I don't mean to complain or anything, but this cold/flu bug has been circling in my home and I'm sick of it(literally...)!

The worst part is, I have a choir concert to attend this Thursday and my throat is throbbing. Does anyone know of any good home remedies for sore throats?? Cough Drops and Halls just don't cutting it anymore and I need something more effective.

I've been drinking lots of orange juice and am trying not to talk too much (it's harder than I thought...), but other than that, I don't know what to do. Any advice would be much appreciated!

In the meantime, I'll just keep smiling! After all, smiling is the best remedy for everything :)

Anyways... The weather where I live is finally starting to look like spring(who knows for how long...). It is muddy and wet, but the sun is out today and the snow is almost gone! I can finally breakout my dresses and flats!! Yay!!

I'm going to go rest now. I hope you lovely people are all doing well! I'll leave you all with a simple quote:

"Whoever is happy will make others happy too."
-Anne Frank
